Bambu: One Rifle Per Family

October 17, 2012

Bambu has had a long run of producing underground hip hop beats and has made tracks with artists like Brother Ali and Atmosphere to name a few. He has done several solo albums, and his newest release, One Rifle Per Family, is rumored to be one of his last.  The 20-track album features collaborations with some of hip hop’s finest and really stays true to the definition of LA underground hip hop: independent – DGAF – spit the real shit. Bambu’s got mad skills and chooses some of the sickest names to work with. This album features collaborations with Rocky Rivera, Prometheus Brown, Killer Mike, Sick Jack (of Psycho Realm), Dumbfoundead, Drunken Tiger JK, Ruby Ibarra, Gloc-9, and Omar Offendum. A killer lineup of eclectic rhymes and bossy-ass beats, the bass work on these tunes is down right nasty… so if you don’t have the lows to drive it then go get some subs.
