IHEARTCOMIX, Media Contender, The Echo & SPIN present Tiga this Thursday

Tiga is one of my all-time favorite artists. I have just a few full albums in my library, and 3 of them are from Tiga- Sexor, Ciao!, & Partys Over Los Angeles (w. Zombie Nation as ZZT). He founded the label Turbo Recordings & it’s sub-label Twin Turbo, which have very impressive catalog. He is also quite the character, as you might know if you have heard his radio show on BBC’s 6 Mix or seen some of his videos.

Ciao! Means Forever is a fake, but super entertaining interview with Tiga. He is absolutely hilarious with his false ego and off the wall ideas, for example, “arousing monitor lizards with ice cubes” (which I hope not to see at the zoo on Wednesday!). If this was improvised I would be extremely impressed.

Damian Lazarus will be playing as well, and although I am unfamiliar with his music, I am familiar with the label that he runs, Crosstown Rebels. Porkchop of the Jungle crew friend is cruising out to the show with us, and he says that his 2011 Burning Man set is a must hear:
